Wuhan city, the epicentre of the outbreak, has enacted travel bans and limited the number of people allowed into the city, as well as shut down train stations and highways to cut off the route from other areas. The virus is very contagious, and those at high risk can spread it, especially to people who are 60 years and older, or people who have conditions that affect their lungs, like asthma. There are currently 4,743 cases of COVID-19 in China, and 78 people have died as a result of the virus. Even though the coronavirus is spreading fast, China is already on the path to recovery. The growth of cases in the first few days of April has slowed down, and the number of cases is almost constant. The trend has been this way since the very first day of the virus’ spread, but the country is still concerned that the number of cases could become exponential again. One of the main reasons for the numbers to start increasing again is that people who travel frequently are catching the virus and spreading it to other places. Other countries are taking precautions Other countries are also taking precautions against the virus. France has imposed a quarantine on more than 60,000 people after more than 300 citizens were quarantined in a cruise ship after a suspected coronavirus case was reported. Italy and Germany have closed schools, and public transportation has been restricted or suspended in many cities. In the US, there have been 50 cases of coronavirus, mainly spread from person to person by asymptomatic people. Laws have been put in place to prevent the spread of the virus. All Chinese nationals are ordered to stay in China and self-quarantine for 14 days. Other countries are also monitoring the situation. Australia will start to screen all travellers arriving from China in light of the new coronavirus outbreak. Iceland, where two passengers from Wuhan have been quarantined for a week, is putting in more stringent health laws. The citizens of Iceland will be required to wear masks and
